چکیده

Recently, there has been a great deal of interest in the application of formal methods, in particular precise formal notations and automatic analysis tools, for the creation and analysis of artifacts of requirements engineering. In this paper we discuss the role of formal methods in requirements engineering (RE), emphasizing that in contrast to their more conventional application in RE for the creation and analysis of requirements speci cations, formal methods may be applied in a cost-e ective way to answer speci c questions about the domain by the construction and automated analysis of \domain models".

Research of Intake Valve Deactivation on Engine Performance

In this paper, the effect of the Intake Valve Deactivation (IVDA) on engine performance is investigated in detail. Based on an optimization platform with Genetic Algorithm (GA) and engine thermodynamic model, the characteristics of the engine volumetric efficiency and pumping loss were studied under the cam-drive, Single Intake Valve (SIV) and Dual Intake Valves (DIV) operating modes, and the e...

A Cognitive Engineering Analysis of the Vertical Navigation (VNAV) Function

A cognitive engineering analysis of the Flight Management System (FMS) Vertical Navigation (VNAV) function has identified overloading of the VNAV button and overloading of the Flight Mode Annunciation (FMA) used by the VNAV function. These two types of overloading, resulting in modal input devices and ambiguous feedback, are well known sources of operator confusion, and explain, in part, the op...

Magnetoacoustic wave propagation in current sheets

Magnetoacoustic waves in a Harris neutral current sheet are investigated. The magnetic field strength, Alfvén speed, sound speed and plasma density vary continuously across the structure. The sheet supports body, surface and hybrid modes. Two surface modes exist (a kink and a sausage). In addition, fundamental and harmonic body waves are found when their phase speeds approach the maximum Alfvén...

Analysis of Multiple Yoffe-type Moving Cracks in an Orthotropic Half-Plane under Mixed Mode Loading Condition

The present paper deals with the mixed mode fracture analysis of a weakened orthotropic half-plane with multiple cracks propagation. The orthotropic half-plane contains Volterra type glide and climb edge dislocations. It is assumed that the medium is under in-plane loading conditions. The distributed dislocation technique is used to obtain integral equations for the dynamic problem of multiple ...

A Current-Based Output Feedback Sliding Mode Control for Speed Sensorless Induction Machine Drive Using Adaptive Sliding Mode Flux Observer

This paper presents a new adaptive Sliding-Mode flux observer for speed sensorless and rotor flux control of three-phase induction motor (IM) drives. The motor drive is supplied by a three-level space vector modulation (SVM) inverter. Considering the three-phase IM Equations in a stator stationary two axis reference frame, using the partial feedback linearization control and Sliding-Mode (SM) c...
